SNS-SHVC-CPU_01 Capacitor Replacement

This section is not a tutorial, but a general overview of recapping your SNES hardware. Do not proceed forward unless you possess the skills and knowledge to perform this task. The capacitors that are presently being shipped are through-hole, making installation more forgiving for novice installers. Also, it's appropriate to have extra capacitors left over from the kit once you've finished the installation. You can either discard or save any left-over capacitors.

The following capacitors will be replaced:

• C50 47uF
• C51 47uF
• C57 100uF
• C58 100uF
• C59 100uF
• C60 100uF
• C61 10uF
• C62 2.2uF
• C63 33uF
• C64 33uF
• C65 10uF
• C66 10uF
• C67 1000uF

Use the following diagram (courtesy of the Console5 SNES Wiki) as a guide for replacing the capacitors.

Test to ensure that your system is 100% operational and then proceed with the installation.
